We've shared our philosophy on deep travel, our framework for exploring culture, and the story of how we're building this project in the margins of our lives. But after all the analysis, research, and big ideas, there's a simpler, more fundamental question: what truly fuels this journey? What are the moments that recharge our souls and make all the effort worthwhile?

The answer isn't found in grand adventures or epic achievements. It's found in the small, quiet, and deeply cherished rituals of our life at home.

For all our love of exploring the world, we are home people at heart. Our home in Dublin is our sanctuary, our creative lab, and the place where the insights gathered from afar are truly integrated. The "artful living" we talk about isn't a performance for a camera; it's the genuine pleasure we find in curating a life rich with sensory and intellectual nourishment.

The morning ritual: coffee, conversation & connection

Our days often begin not with a rush, but with a ritual. The process of making coffee is a slow, deliberate act that holds deep meaning for both of us. For Ola, this fascination runs deep enough that she wrote her master's thesis on the meaning of fair trade in the international coffee trade. For Riza, it's a passion for exploring alternative brewing methods and understanding how different beans tell the story of their origin.

In fact, our very first date in Warsaw was a perfect foreshadowing of our life together. Ola, knowing Riza's interest, brought him to an alternative coffee place. We spent hours connecting over a large Chemex, getting so lost in conversation about our travels and dreams that we barely noticed the time passing. Now, that same ritual grounds our mornings – a dedicated, focused moment of connection before the demands of our 9-to-5s begin.

The evening soundtrack: vinyl eecords & shared histories

When the work day is done, our preferred way to decompress is to put on a record. Music has always been a vital thread in both our lives, long before we met. Riza spent his teenage years playing bass guitar in rock and metal bands, a constant presence at concerts. Ola fell in love with Polish rock, drawn to the depth of its lyrics, a world she could fully inhabit without the language barrier of some English music. We both have memories steeped in the energy of music festivals.

Our journey into vinyl collecting was sparked by a gift: a collection of old records from Ola's dad. That initial stack of inherited history inspired us to buy our first record player together, and since then, our collection has become a living archive of our shared taste. A vinyl album is the antithesis of a shuffled digital playlist; it demands intention. You choose an album, place the needle, and commit to listening to an artist's curated journey from start to finish – a practice that deeply resonates with our "Content Seasons" philosophy.

The joy of shared discovery: a good meal & a deeper story

Many of our best ideas and most meaningful connections happen in the kitchen. For years, Ola has loved collecting culinary recipe books, especially those focusing on Persian cuisine, drawn to their promise of sun-drenched flavors and ancient stories. The challenge of physically moving those kilograms of heavy books from Poland to Ireland was a testament to how much we value the history and culture they hold.

Now, exploring those recipes together becomes a shared act of discovery. A meal is just the beginning; it's the conversation that unfolds over the food that truly nourishes us. We might start with a specific spice and end up in a deep dive into the history of Silk Road trade routes. These conversations, where we connect the dots between food, history, and personal experience, are the living heart of On Way Storytellers.

Ultimately, the grand explorations of distant cultures that we share with you are fueled and made meaningful by these simple pleasures. It is the quiet joy of a perfectly brewed coffee steeped in personal history, the immersive sound of a familiar record connecting our pasts, the shared discovery over a home-cooked meal that tells a story. These are the moments that remind us that a rich, artful life is not something to be endlessly chased "out there," but something to be mindfully cultivated, right here, every single day.
